An award winning chili that you can cook at home and treat your family to a nice hearty meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Ground Beef

  • 2 Onions, diced

  • 1 Green Pepper, diced

  • 1 Tbsp Jalapeno, finely chopped

  • 14 Ounces Mexican-style Tomatoes

  • 16 Ounces Tomato Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp Cumin

  • 2 Tbsp Chili Powder

  • 1 Tsp Salt

  • 1/2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper

  • 1/2 Tsp Paprika

  • 14 Ounces Kidney Beans

  • 14 Ounces Black Beans

  • 1 Cup Water

  • Toppings
  • Sour Cream

  • Cheddar Cheese

  • Green Onion

Directions

  • In a medium Dutch oven over medium-high heat add the olive oil. Add the ground meat and cook, breaking up into pieces, until browned. Add the onions, bell pepper and jalapeno and cook until softened. Drain excess grease.
  • Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, cumin, chili powder, salt, cayenne, paprika and 1 cup water. Mix to combine.
  • Add the kidney beans and black beans, mix and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 1-2 hours.
  • Serve with desired toppings.
